Position Description:
This Diesel Powertrain Calibration Engineer position involves evaluating, assessing, testing, & optimizing vehicle attributes.
Modify vehicle and powertrain calibrations to meet attributes including emissions, drivability, performance, diagnostics, fuel economy, and NVH.
This can be on vehicles and/or in engine dynamometer test cells
Perform data analysis and regress model calibrations with large data sets & communicate conclusions. Interface with software algorithm suppliers (internal and external) to evaluate new features prior to development process. Calibrate and sign-off features for future model year Diesel programs
Document progress and methods used to calibrate & validate features within assigned responsibility
Use models and simulation to reduce testing and optimize powertrain calibrations
Manage calibration parameter databases & ensure error-free production releases
Position may require travel to remote development locations (Arizona/Canada/Colorado/Florida) for vehicle testing approximately 2 weeks per trip and 3 trips per year

Experience Required:
3 years experience of powertrain calibration with vehicle and/or dyno testing
